Carl Reed and Kat Coronodo will be presenting. The topic of the presentation is : “Cathodic Delamination: Corrosion’s Silent Assassin”
Here are their bios:
Carl Reed: Carl Reed is currently a Technical Consultant with GPI Laboratories, Inc. with over 40 years’ experience in the protective coatings industry. Prior to joining GPI, he spent almost 38 years with International Paint serving in all phases of the technical area including, research, formulating development, quality management, quality control, and product application and testing. He is a member of NACE, SSPC, and ASTM and serves on several committees and task groups with these organizations. He has authored or co-authored several research papers published by NACE and SSPC.
Kat Coronodo: Kat Coronodo, who works in technical support for protective coatings at International Paint LLC, has spent his entire working career in the Coatings Field. He has worked as a bench chemist, production manager, coatings applicator and coating inspector. Kat has been a Technical Support Manager for the past 15 years providing internal and external customers with coatings and linings recommendations and technical advice. Along with being a long-time member of NACE, SSPC and The Coating Society of Houston, Kat is also a NACE instructor for PCS 1, PCS 2, S-CAT and Marine Coatings Technology courses, as well as the current TCC Vice-Chair Elect. Kat holds a BS in Chemistry from the University of Houston, as well as Post Graduate studies on Polymer Chemistry at U of H. He is also a CIP Level 3 Certified Coatings Inspector and a Certified Protective Coating Specialist.
