Presented Speaker : Michael Stelmach
Presentation : “ Epoxy Intumescent Fireproofing (EIF); introduction of the three main types of passive fireproofing (PFP) and how they compare in performance & durability both during the construction process and long term.”
Biography : Michael Stelmach began his career in 1996, working in the industrial insulation, fireproofing and scaffolding industries. Michael started as a laborer and worked his way up in the field to project manager and then into estimating up to account specialist. During this time he gained experience with many industrial companies, ranging from chemical, refining (downstream and offshore), plastics and pulp and paper.
Michael is currently Vice President of PK Companies which is the leader of the application of intumescent fireproofing and risk assessment for fireproofing and corrosion in both the upstream and downstream markets. He is an active member of NACE, CSHA, SSPC, LCS and the API. He is currently on the board for NACE on various Technical Exchange Groups and Technical Groups on for coatings and fireproofing and has served as President to the Houston Area Coating Society.
