Presented Speaker : Joe Davis

Presentation : “Enhanced corrosion protection performance of coatings formulated with nanoscale carbon and its impact to the coatings industry”

Biography : Joe Davis is recognized throughout the industry as an authority on corrosion prevention and protection with over 30 years of experience in the industrial coatings field. Since 2016, Mr. Davis has been the Vice President of Sales Engineering for Tesla Nano Coatings Inc. During his career, Mr. Davis has served in capacities from a coatings applicator/foreman to CEO of his consulting corporation. Over the many years, he has provided expert technical assistance to companies and their legal teams, being designated as the 30(b)(6) corporate legal witness for many of these firms. Mr. Davis maintains certifications as a NACE Level III certified inspector as well as SSPC C1 and C2, and a Protective Coatings Specialist. In addition, he serves as an instructor for various programs offered by NACE International, SSPC The Society for Protective Coatings, and was adjunct faculty for Kansas State University’s Distance Education Program. He is a contributing author to the Journal of Protective Coatings and Linings, Material Performance, World Pipeline, and was published in McGraw Hill/AWWA Steel Water Storage Tank Design, Construction, Maintenance, and Repair Book, and the Grain Elevator and Processing Society Facility Design Book. Mr. Davis serves in various roles on many industry technical committees and is the chairman of the AWWA D102 Coating of Steel Water Tank Committee and the Chairman of Oversight Board for NACE International Institute’s Contractor Approval Program (NIICAP). He is requested speaker on the subjects of corrosion, traditional protective coatings, and nanoscale carbon coatings and has conducted symposiums both internationally and domestically.
